Dentsu Acquires Wasabi Analytics SAS

Dentsu has announced on September 27, 2016, its 9th acquisition in the last 2 months — that of the French-based web analytics company Wasabi Analytics SAS.

Dentsu’s press release announcing the deal argued the purpose of the acquisition is to “strengthen and expand” its presence in France. It explained that Wasabi “has strengths in the analysis of user behavior based mainly on web server logs, namely site-centric measurement, and is the only independent company certified as a Google Analytics Premium Authorized Reseller in France.”

Following the acquisition, Wasabi is planed to work in close collaboration with Dentsu’s iProspect, which the company claims has “strong capabilities in ad-centric measurement.”

In reverse order of their coverage, Denstu Aegis has recently announced it acquired C2C Outdoor, invested in LiveLike, acquired Perfect Relations, invested in Avid Media, and acquired WiTH Collective Services in Australia, Accordant media, Markenloft and the Merkle Group.
