Epsilon and its digital media arm Conversant have announced on March 22, 2018, the hiring of Jeff Fagel as Senior Vice President, Head of Marketing.

Fagel will play a key role at Epsilon and Conversant, according to the announcement, partnering across the organization to grow relationships with customers and strengthen its leadership position in the data-driven marketing, intelligence and digital media space.

“I’m excited to add a marketing leader with deep data, digital, retail and brand experience to further differentiate the Epsilon and Conversant businesses from the competition. Today’s marketers must provide a measured return in sales on every dollar they spend and Jeff understands this, having spent the majority of his career as a brand side marketer,” said Kennedy. “As a company we’re evolving in many ways, but the constant is our expertise leveraging data to fully choreograph how we connect with consumers across all channels and devices, while proving incremental return on marketing investment. The combined Epsilon and Conversant expertise is vital to delivering revenue growth and client success. Jeff and his team will be key in helping us carry this mission forward.”

Fagel brings more than 20 years of marketing experience with him to his new role. He spent the majority of his career on the client side, where he held multiple retail and CPG marketing leadership positions at PepsiCo, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, ConAgra and Sears Holdings.

“I join at a key inflection point in the marketing industry where the traditional way of thinking needs to evolve as CMOs have struggled to orchestrate and prove the impact of marketing spend across a growing list of complex channels,” said Fagel. “Epsilon and Conversant have proved that the orchestration and optimization of marketing across multiple channels is not only possible, but is central to driving predictable and measurable results. This new role presents an opportunity to shift the marketplace conversation, re-imagining what’s possible and driving the industry towards more targeted and accountable solutions.”

Fagel was most recently Chief Marketing Officer of Eyeview, where he helped position Eyeview as the leader in outcome-based personalized video marketing. Prior to Eyeview, Fagel was CMO for multiple brands acquired by Gannett Digital Ventures Group, the advertising technology services arm of Gannett (parent company of USA Today).

Based in Chicago, Fagel reports to Bryan Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer, Epsilon/Conversant.
